The partnership running this project includes academic and/or research institutions from 40 European countries and is coordinated by the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences in Bergen, Norway.

Duration of action: 4 years (2018-2022)

Purpose

Use research results to inform new studies in a systematic and transparent manner (through systematic reviews) so as to obtain valid, efficient and accessible evidence.

Specific research coordination objectives

Increase awareness and acceptance of this challenge by all relevant stakeholders;
Developing materials for training in Evidence-Based Research;
Catalyse collaboration between stakeholders to increase the efficiency of updating and developing systematic reviews;
Create a common vision on how to evaluate the implementation of Evidence-Based Research.

Specific capacity development objectives

Identify the implications of the Evidence-Based Research approach for each stakeholder;
Training researchers in the application of Evidence-Based Research;
Description of processes and technologies used in systematic reviews that require improvement;
Establishing a common understanding on how to monitor the application of Evidence-Based Research in clinical research.
