The project is carried out by a consortium of 25 partners led by the National Institute of Health (Istituto Superiore Di Sanita) in Italy. 24 other partner institutions from 10 countries participate in this project; the SNSPMPDSB affiliate institution is the National Institute for Mother and Child Health “Alessandrescu-Rusescu”.

Purpose

The JAHEE project aims to improve the health and well-being of EU citizens and achieve a higher level of health equity across all social groups in all participating countries and in Europe in general.

Specific objectives

Improve planning and policy development to reduce health inequalities at European, national, regional and local levels;
Implement actions that represent the best opportunities to reduce health inequalities in each participating country;
Strengthening mechanisms for collaboration in addressing inequalities and facilitating exchanges of experience between participating countries;
Facilitating transferability of good practice.
